List
Distribution:
There are 4 options for you to
distribute your list:
1. Using Your Email Program
Pasting your ezine list into the BCC
(Blind Carbon Copy) field is sufficient for really small lists. Be aware, however, that
certain ISPs (most notably, AOL) have filters in place to trash messages with more than a
certain amount of addresses in the BCC field (25 or so). They do this to prevent their
users from getting spammed. If you do not have a mailer client you can download a free
version from Pegasus Mail
2. Free Email List Hosting
There are several good free email
list-hosting providers that will make the job of sending your ezine (and managing your
list) pretty simple. The drawback |
|
 |
| of using one of these services is that
they'll advertise on your mailings. (That's how they make their money, after all.) Also,
because they're free, customer or technical support, if you should ever need it, may be
nonexistent. Some of the free hosters are : Topica, Coollist. 3. Fee-Based List Hosting
As the name suggests, you pay to get
premium ads free service. We recommend that you use: Sparklist
, Lyris , Lsoft, Gotmarketing. For a low cost solution we recommend
that you use Aweber
4. Your Own List Server
This
offers you the most control, but will also take the most work to set up. There are some
very good list server software packages out there, some of which are free. If you're
technically savvy, this may be the way to go.
